Carl XVI Gustaf Folke Hubertus Bernadotte was born 30. April in 1946 in Solna, county of Stockholm. Carl XVI Gustaf is Sweden's king and the country's head of state since 15 September 1973. Carl XVI Gustaf is son of prince Gustaf Adolf and Sibylla of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha.
The Queen of Sweden, Silvia Renate Sommerlath was born on 23 December in 1943 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The Queen's official title is Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. Queen Silvia is the only daughter of the Director Walther Sommerlath and his Brazilian wife Alice Sommerlath, born in Toledo. She has three brothers: Ralf, Walther and Jörg Sommerlath.
Carl XVI Gustaf married Silvia Sommerlath on 19 June in 1976 who then became Queen of Sweden. Together they have three children Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine.
